Meet Campbell Bannerman - your digital personal trainer
I grew up in the Blue Mountains, just west of Sydney, Australia, where, as one of a family of 4 children I was always involved in and inspired by outdoor activities. This started with little athletics at the age of eight, soccer, basketball and rugby league, and went onto include an interest in hiking and kayaking.
The family then moved down to Sydney where I completed high school, during which I got a part time job in a restaurant. There I worked with a team who were heavily into the gym and their fitness. I soon became interested, started working out and was blown away with the changes that training made to my body, the increase in energy levels and the confidence boost it gave me.
Training had an incredibly positive effect on me, so I made it an integral part of my life, whilst I pursued a career in the management level of the hospitality industry. During my time working and living overseas I remained committed to physical fitness, meeting a number of personal trainers in the gyms I attended. On my return at the end of 2001, rather than continue with further developing my career in the hospitality industry, I chose to follow what I really enjoyed and was passionate about, by launching into a professional health and fitness course at Randwick TAFE completing Certificate III and Certificate IV and I continue to this day with further training and education including nutrition, boxing as a fitness aid and general wellbeing.
I graduated in 2003, since then I have worked as a full time independent personal trainer working with a consistent client load. I enjoy working with my clients and seeing them achieve their goals whether this means muscle gain, weight loss, core strength, rehabilitation from injuries, sports specific or general fitness and well-being. I enjoy helping them set new goals as they can see their full potential being realised. An important part of this includes nutritional recommendations to suit their lifestyle.
I know from my own experience and the feedback I get from my clients the positive impact that physical fitness has on people's lives, including an increase in energy levels, better ability to sleep, an increase in confidence and self esteem, improved body image, reduction in stress levels, increased strength and the resulting improvement in every aspect of life.
As a personal trainer I can only reach and make a difference to the lives of a handful of people, through the qfit workout programs I feel that I will be able to motivate many more people to take control of their health and fitness by giving them a structured program to follow, with guidance and motivation, particularly for those who cannot afford a one to one personal trainer.
I believe that everyone should know how it feels to be happy with their level of fitness and reach optimal health. My goal through qfit is to make effective training accessible to everyone, and as I say to my clients and I say to you: "Striving towards optimal physical fitness can be the foundation to achieving many other goals you have in your life"
I look forward to being a part of and helping you achieve these goals!
