Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Your body is constantly healing and regenerating itself, in-fact, there are some parts of your body that completely regenerate in just 48 hours (Eg: your eyes) whereas other parts can take months (Eg: your lungs). Your muscles are no different.

Most personal trainers will agree that your body will start to get used to any exercise after six weeks of performing the same routine. Some people refer to this effect as "hitting a plateau". Basically, it means the results you achieve in performing an exercises after six weeks, starts to go into decline. Instead, shock your body into a new exercise routine to continue to make progress.

By updating your Workout Plan every six weeks, you will optimise the return-for-effort effect and refresh your muscles while also refreshing your mind with something new. Over the long term (eg: a year) the benefits of your dedication in maintaining your Workout Plan and updating it every six weeks will be far greater than if you just stayed on the same program. Changing routines will focus effort in different muscle groups in different ways and this is the fastest way to improve your total body condition and fitness levels.

If you are looking for a Workout Plan that lasts more than six weeks, you can either (a) choose another Workout Plan to the one you initially purchased or (b) send us an email with an outline on what your main goal is, the amount of time / number of days you want to work out each week and the period of time you want us to create your training plan for. We will then correspond with you to build something together.

While these decisions are personal, we at qfit believe you should always consult your medical practitioner to ensure your level of fitness and training ability before undertaking any form of fitness training.

If you are unable to visit your doctor, at the very minimum ensure you have a fitness test performed by the instructors at the gym you attend.

6 weeks. When you workout with a personal trainer they will develop a program for you which typically runs for 6 weeks. The qfit Workout Plans are designed similarly. The reason for this is to provide the body with a change in exercises and combinations to allow the muscles to be exercised from different directions. This also ensures you spread the load across your entire muscle groups. The result helps you to achieve your goals faster.

When you purchase your Workout Plan you will notice in the instructions that the intensity increases over the 6 weeks. This helps to build the body's muscles as you workout over time and prepares you for the change of workout every 6 weeks.
